“I’m thrilled to head to Tanzania with the incredible Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Charity to support their ‘Get Equipped’ project.
Since the formation of the fantastic ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’ charity in 2010, I have been a proud fundraiser. I have known Jonny and Russell, the founders, from way back in my earlier clubbing days. Their work resonates with me, and it’s brilliant to be involved in something I love the most—music!”
We are thrilled to welcome Trevor Fung, a long-time supporter and dear friend of the charity, to Team LNADJ for our upcoming trip to Tanzania in January!
Trevor has played at top UK clubs and festivals like Glastonbury and Burning Man, and hosts club nights in London. He’s also an ambassador for several charities, raising awareness and funds for important causes.
What motivated you to volunteer with Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation and participate in this experience?
“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and proud to have been involved with LNADJ since the charity’s inception in 2010. Their great work for others has always been a strong motivator for me, and I’m excited to contribute further to their impactful mission.”
What specific skills or strengths do you believe you bring to the team for this experience?
“With nearly 50 years of experience as a professional DJ, remixer and music producer. I bring a wealth of knowledge, creativity and expertise to the team. My music skills will stand me in good stead for this project and allow me to contribute meaningfully.”
What do you hope to gain personally and professionally from joining us in Tanzania?
“At this stage in my career, I feel a deep desire to give back and help others. I hope to experience the joy of making a positive difference in people’s lives. Professionally, this experience will allow me to share my knowledge and inspire others through music.”
Why is our organisation important to you?
“LNADJ has been important to me since the charity’s very beginning. I’ve been involved in several activities with the organisation over the years, but this opportunity in Tanzania feels particularly special. Music has been my passion throughout my career, and now I feel it’s time to give back in a way that truly matters.”
Do you have a personal connection to our mission?
“Not yet, but I’m excited to get started and create that connection. I look forward to immersing myself in the project and contributing to the mission.”
Our charity’s mission is centred around building hope through music and unlocking all the joy that comes with creativity. How do you see yourself contributing to furthering this mission during the experience?
I hope to inspire people and help unlock their creative potential through music. Even if I can make a difference in just one person’s life, I will feel I’ve contributed to this mission. Additionally, I believe the just giving efforts will play a significant role in supporting the success of this project.
From all of us at LNADJ, Big Love and all the smiles to Trevor for stepping up to join us on our mission to build hope through music. We are excited for you to see the work you have been so kindly supporting live and direct AND cannot wait to see ‘band’ Jono in action!
