TAMP joins Team LNADJ in Tanzania!

“To get the opportunity to go and teach street art to kids in Africa is an absolutely mind-blowing opportunity.”

This February, Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation is taking an all-star cast of artists, educators, and facilitators to Tanzania to deliver our creative education programmes – using music, art, and connection to build skills, confidence, and hope.

Joining us on this journey is TAMP, an anonymous UK-based street artist known for his vibrant, 90s-inspired urban art. Working across walls, pillars, and canvases, TAMP’s practice blends hyper-realism with traditional graffiti techniques, creating bold, accessible work rooted firmly in street culture.

Having previously worked with LNADJ on fundraising initiatives – including pulling together an incredible affordable art auction that raised over £7,000 for the charity – TAMP has long believed in the power of art to create real change. His ethos aligns closely with LNADJ’s mission: use creativity as a tool for connection, empowerment, and positive action on the ground.

In Tanzania, TAMP will be delivering Street to Street workshops, sharing his street art practice with young people – from stencil design and cutting through to painting – and creating space for experimentation, expression, and joy through making.

As we prepare for Tanzania, we caught up with TAMP to talk about art, giving back, and why showing up matters.

What inspired you to join Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation for this experience?

I’m absolutely blown away to be able to join LNADJ for this trip. I’ve worked with you guys before on a fundraiser and was really impressed with the ethos of the whole setup. To get the opportunity to go and teach some street art to young people in Africa is an absolutely mind blowing opportunity.”

Whether it’s music, art, connection, teaching, or energy – what do you hope to share with the young people we’ll be working with?

“I’m gonna bring my street art experience involving the use of stencils .. from design to cutting to painting and I’ve recently bought a VR  headset too which I haven’t taken out of the box yet… and haven’t got a clue how to use  but I bought it with them in mind giving them the opportunity to paint their own pieces hopefully….”

What do you hope to take away from this experience — personally or professionally?

“Well I’m hoping to take away a real life altering experience and hopefully raise a few smiles while doing it ..I guess I would really like it to improve me as a person as in my outlook to others and their situations…”

Why is giving back and being part of an organisation like LNADJ important to you?

“Years back I wouldn’t have dreamed of being involved in something like this but times have changed and I now have a platform to help and my thoughts are now. If you could help why wouldn’t you?”

What do you love about LNADJ and the work we do?

“Creativity is a part of everyone, whether they realise it or not. We all have a story to tell. Art is the most natural way for us to express our stories.”

For TAMP, art is about showing up – using creativity, platform, and experience to make a difference where it matters. Whether pulling together artists for a fundraiser or sharing street art skills on the ground, his approach is rooted in generosity, energy, and belief in the power of community.

As he joins Team LNADJ in Tanzania this February, TAMP brings not only his creative practice, but a genuine desire to connect, learn, and help create moments of joy – proving that when art meets purpose, real change can happen. We are super excited to have TAMP onboard and joining the Street to Street team in Tanzania.

Thank you, and as always, Big Love,
