Simon Runcie – Treasurer

Appointed Trustee and Treasurer in 2022.

Simon first became aware of LNADJ through social media footage of the “World’s Highest Party” with Nightmares on Wax. After speaking to the founder, Jonny Lee, Simon was inspired by the vision, energy and, most importantly, the unique approach to delivering its mission: Changing Lives, Saving Lives.  Projects that draw on various aspects of dance music culture to deliver real change struck a chord and he became a supporter.

Originally from Leeds, Simon currently lives in Malta with his wife and two boys.  He moved to Malta to establish a proprietary algorithmic trading business. The business has grown and is now a successful multinational operation and Simon continues to operate as the Global CFO.

Graduating from Manchester University with a Maths and Physics degree in 1994, Simon moved to London to work as an auditor with KPMG.  Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997.  In 1999 he moved to Sydney, with KPMG, becoming a Telecommunications specialist.  Returning to KPMG London in 2004 to manage the Cable & Wireless global audit team.  In 2005, Simon was headhunted to become the CFO of a large, algorithmic trading group in Hong Kong.

Simon brings a wealth of business and financial experience to the team and his love of dance music makes this an ideal fit.

When clients kept asking how the gear worked, Rob wrote a weekend production course—demand quickly outpaced studio bookings, and Point Blank was born. Over three decades, he has grown it into a global institution offering degree-level education, an in-house label, and a following of over two million. Rob remains hands-on, collaborating with his team, performing regularly at Point Blank’s Open Mic Nights, and speaking at major industry events.
