SET FOR LOVE – Uniting DJs, Changing Lives
Set For Love aims to unite DJs all over the globe to
make a difference through music.
In 2020 we held three mixing
marathon’s that have inspired thousands of DJ’s to live
stream and fundraise together.
Set For Love is unique in bringing DJs of all levels
together, from bedroom DJs to A list superstars. Carl
Cox, Eats Everything and Nightmares On Wax played a
leading role in the last event, playing headline sets and
inspiring many other DJs to get involved and fundraise
at the same time.
Thousands of other DJs also took part from over 80
countries, creating the world’s largest simultaneous DJ
live stream.
These events in May & June raised over £80,000 for
our COVID-19 Relief Appeal. These funds continue
to provide food, clean water, sanitation and medical
supplies to some of the vulnerable communities we
work with in developing countries. These include Nepal,
Tanzania, Uganda and Indonesia.
So far, Set For Love has received over 80 pieces of
press coverage across dance music and other media,
with an estimated online readership of 850 million and
a social media reach of 8 million.
Building on the success of our previous events, the Set For Love Xmas Appeal will take place from 20th – 22nd November. The launch is designed to coincide with World Children’s Day on Friday 20th November when we will also be broadcasting a pre-recorded livestream on Beatport & their associated channels.
Funds raised in our Set For Love Xmas Appeal will be distributed across a number of projects in developing countries focussed on creating sustainable futures for vulnerable children and young adults.
These include projects to stop child labour and get children into education, construction of new schools, centres for the rehabilitation of young girls who have experienced sex trafficking and domestic abuse, the creation of sustainable resources including water wells.
Building on the success of our previous events and with the power of Beatport as streaming partner we expect the Set For Love Xmas appeal to have a huge reach to millions of dance music fans around the world and to change the lives of many many children as a result.
