Cryptocurrency donations

In recent months the Last Night a DJ Charity has received multiple requests for cryptocurrency donations. As a charity we are highly dependent on these donations, without your help we would not have the possibility to help those children and families in need all over the world. 

We have developed crypto donations in order to facilitate donations of those who would like to support our charity causes by donating some of their crypto gains.

Why donate cryptocurrency?

Donating cryptocurrencies is more tax efficient than donating fiat money (EURO,USD,GBP)

This aspect depends on the legal status of crypto in your legislation. If we consider the U.S. law to date, cryptocurrencies are viewed as an investment property, thus you owe taxes when you sell, trade, or use them. This makes donating crypto a tax-efficient way to give: you can benefit by not paying taxes you’d have to pay otherwise.

You can save on your capital gains taxes

The UK has  released guidelines on reducing or eliminating capital gains taxes on cryptocurrency and many more countries are providing similar guidance around donations of cryptocurrency to charity. Even when giving anonymously, donors will receive a tax receipt for their cryptocurrency donation from the nonprofit to which they give. As always, check with your accountant, financial advisor, or tax attorney before making any major decision, as everyone’s individual tax situation is unique.

Your crypto donation value for the charity will be much higher than if you converted in fiat

In most countries charities are exempt from paying capital gains on the sale of assets. That’s why if you donate your crypto as is, the charity will receive its full market value, unlike as if you converted it to fiat on your own and donated the after-tax proceeds.

This project provides DJ and music equipment, musical instruments, music teachers, training and facilities to schools and various educational and community projects around the world.

BACK ON TRACK

This campaign provides food, shelter, education, equipment and the tools for a better life at a variety of children’s homes and community projects in developing countries.

 

HAVE A DRINK ON US

This campaign funds the construction of fresh water wells in parts of  India and Africa including Uganda, Mozambique, South Sudan, Malawi, The Gambia and Tamil Nadu.

Where will my donation go?

Its up to you! As a charity, these are very challenging times so by default, all donations made via crypto will be put towards our running costs. However, if you prefer that your donation goes directly to one of our initiatives / projects please email info@lastnightadjsavedmylife.org & we will allocate your donation as per your wishes.

What percentage does LNADJ Charity take if I donate to an initiative?

20% of all donations is allocated towards our operating costs. This is an extremely low percentage in comparison to many charities & very much helps to keep us running.

10 Years of charity work

Over the past 10 years, we have helped 100’s of families and children in need in communities all over the world. 

Examples of charities benefiting from crypto donations

UK-based charity the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) has reportedly received more than £100,000 in cryptocurrency donations in the last 12 months. Donations that equate to around $137,560.

Ethereum’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin sent over $1 billion worth of Shiba Inu tokens to a charity that funds India’s ongoing COVID battle.

$1.3M worth of BTC donated to Bitcoin-hodling charity in less than 3 weeks The Bitcoin Water Trust has already received more than $1.3 million worth of BTC donations despite launching just three weeks ago.
