Last Night A DJ Saved My Life invites you to take part in the Cycle Ibiza 2022 challenge which takes place on 19/20/21 May 2022.

Join our community of riders and cycle with us through some of the most beautiful scenery in Ibiza whilst at the same time raising funds for our Back on Track campaign in support of Angelsgate – a home for street involved boys in Tanzania.

Over three consecutive days, participants will experience the islands magical scenery and unique undulating terrain, the daily routes will be expertly planned by our bike partners Velo Club Ibiza and include the best of the islands interior and coastal roads. Drinks stops and lunch will be planned in the most gorgeous locations, so be sure to bring your camera!

NB On ride day 2 there is the option of two separate routes to accommodate both intermediate & more advanced riders – please see info below more details.

Performance carbon road bike hire is available through our bike partners so we very much hope you will get on your bike and join us in 2022 to make this our best Cycle Ibiza event yet.

THE CAUSE:

Our Back on Track campaign provides food, shelter, education, equipment and the tools to help create a more brighter future for children & young people around the world.

This challenge will be in support of Angels Gate Home for street involved boys.

Angels Gate is based in Moshi, Tanzania and houses around 54 boys. Many of the boys have endured very difficult times living on the street, due to this the children living here need a little extra care and attention.

Funds raised from the ride will go towards providing vocational training for the boys along with purchasing a number of bicycles, both of which are life changing & will make a huge difference to their future.

It costs just £200 to fund a 1 year vocational course!

THE CHALLENGE:

Event participants will ride through the islands most iconic scenery over three consecutive days.

Day 1: All riders cycle together 80km (850m climb)

Day 2: The most challenging ride day . With a “Medio” and “Largo” route option

Medio ride 80km / 1500m (climb)

Largo 130km (2000m climb)

Day 3: All riders together 50km / 400m (climb)

The overall total KMs cycled will be as follows:

Those who opt for Medio will ride 210km and climb 2,750m in total

Those who opt for Largo will ride 260km and climb 3,250m in total

PRICES & OTHER INFO:

Registration costs

Three day package – £250 per rider

One day package – £100 per rider

Three day packge for a team of 5 – £1000

Prices include guides, Garmin route planning, bike set-up and a mechanical support vehicle

We also offer a sunset experience on Saturday at one of Ibiza’s ﬁnest venues as an optional extra

Bike Hire

Performance Carbon road bike hire is available from €30 a day including delivery

Bikes will include pedals / pump / spare tube / levers and mini tool if required

Velo Club Ibiza will be available to facilitate bike set up and make adjustments for optimum fit

Helmet hire also available at €3 euros a day

Transport & Accommodation

The organisers are happy to recommend trusted partners for hotel or villa accommodation. Car Hire and taxi companies can also be recommended

Insurance

Riders are responsible for ensuring that they have adequate cover as no insurance is provided with any of the packages / tickets

Kit

LNADJ has had its own cycle shirt and bib designed. Please enquire with size for details of price and availability

Am I fit enough?

“Medio” riders need to be familiar with handling a road bike and be capable of taking on a tough physical challenge.

The “Largo” route is better suited to ﬁt, regular cyclists who are looking to push themselves that bit further. In both cases we guarantee the pleasure will make up for any pain.

Fundraising/Sponsorship

When you register through enthuse it creates a fundraising page for you automatically. We encourage everyone to raise funds towards the Street involved boys at Angelsgate home in Tanzania. It only costs £200 to support one boy with vocational training, so set yourself a goal!
