LNADJ at Brighton & Hove Pride
August brought the 2011 edition of Brighton & Hove Pride - a registered charity promotin "equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. It raises awareness of issues by promoting and staging a series of events including Winter Pride and the annual summer festival and making grants and/or support to other charitable and voluntary organisations. Our key objective is to develop an environment in favour of LGBT equality by providing information, advice and support."
LNADJ wqas involved in two ways. To begin the day, Jonny Lee and Ian Kennedy were joined by LNADJ supporting DJ Trevor Fung on the Amnerican Express float. As part of a procession of over 20 floats, the Men in Black themed artic weaved through the packed streets of Brighton on an electrifying 3 hour journey to the Festival itself in Preston Park. The music was incredible, the atmosphere even better, and our arrival at the Dance Arena was met withy jubilation all round.
Throughout the day, the huge Dance Arena tent filled with clubbers to hear the uplifting sounds of the our volunteer DJs - all playing their sets for nothing - including, Dj Mikalis, Dulcie Danger, Hi Fi Sean, Danny Rampling, Guy Williams, Seamus Haji, Lee Harris, and Paul Heron. Then tent was eventuall filled to over 8000 jumping clubbers, and the day was a massive success all round.
With contributions from the DJs and 20 volunteers, £4000 was raised for The Terrance Higgins Trust. We'd like to thank everybody involved for their help and for creating such a wonderful day.

BRIGHTON & HOVE PRIDE
“We are delighted to be working with LNADJ as host for this year’s Main Dance Tent”, says Mike Chalmers, Pride Trustee, “and we will be looking to work very closely withLNADJ to raise some significant funds for Pride in Brighton & Hove. Not only this, but we are very excited at the calibre of DJs that LNADJ are bringing to the party. With the dance tent capacity doubled for this year’s event and with such great names playing, we think this will be the best year yet”
